Members - Susan Lott

For Susan Lott, art has been in her life since childhood.
Growing up with her eight siblings in the small community of Merritton in St Catharines, she spent many days sketching.
It was during a visit to Texas in 1994 that her cousin Pat Green another talented artist, not only influenced her but encouraged Susan to pick up the brush. Susan spent several years traveling to Texas to learn & paint with her cousin.
During this time she also studied under several well known local artists, Ed Telenko St Catharines Academy of Fine Arts, Raymond Martin & John Leonard at Haliburton School of the Arts.

There have been substantial changes in her artistic vision and mediums over the years. Although Susan's work includes several mediums, her focus is Abstract in Acrylic.

"My inspiration comes from colour.
With no thought on subject or theme as I start each painting, the colours on the canvas guide me through the mystery of the blends."

"Every painting is given an Italian name based on what I see. I find the Italian language poetic, romantic & a mystery. It is then that the painting is complete."

Susan's paintings can be found in both private and
corporate collections in Canada, England and the USA.
