John has always enjoyed using his imagination in sketching caricatures of animals and people. However, his busy working schedule never really let him take his ideas seriously. Along came retirement and a move to the Niagara region. Although the days got busy establishing a new home the time afforded a chance to be creative. Rather than making up a photo album John has painted many pictures to record events about his life. There are paintings of he and his sisters at his grandparent's farm in Western Ontario, his dad feeding a baby robin, a pensive John wondering what it us all about etc. All original ideas that are unique to this artist. They are bright, large, and very colourful and they each relate a story. There have been very few classes and John has done his thing all along, hoping to please himself with the results and that others also enjoy his unique style.
