Watercolour Workshop -- "Cool Creek"

Award winning watercolourist Janice Opie will be conducting a watercolour workshop for the creation of "Cool Creek" using a rich unsaturated palette.

This three hour workshop includes watercolour techniques such as wet in wet, wet on dry, negative painting, lost edges and more. Janice will give a step by step demo then guide students in their own creation.

This class is open to students of all levels, though some experience with watercolour is helpful.

What to bring:
- 140lb watercolour paper around 9x12"
- A support for paper
- Watercolour brushes (please also feel free to use RiverBrink's brushes)
- Water container
- Pigments suggested colours are thalo blue, viridian green, lemon yellow, ultramarine blue, paynes grey or neutral tint, burnt sienna. Any favourites as well if preferred.
- *Please bring lunch as there are no food services nearby*

Watercolour Workshop -- "Village Home"

Janice Opie is offering a workshop at RiverBrink Art Museum on Saturday, July 12 focusing on pen and ink with watercolour wash.

The student will paint the Queenston Village's 200 year old historic Wray-Goring-Robinson House on Princess Street.

Students will be guided while rendering, alternating between pen and brush. Some watercolour experience is helpful.

Please note to bring your own snack as there are no food services nearby.

What to bring:
- 140 lb watercolour paper about 9"x12";
- Support for paper; Water container;
- Paper towel;
- Palette;
- Watercolour Brushes (Please also feel free to use RiverBrink's brushes);
- Pigments: Orange, Cadmium yellow, Sap green, Thalo blue, Burnt sienna; Micron or Staedtler pen size #1
