Join us for an evening of poetry and art with the NIAGARA POETS & PAINTERS.

At our next meeting, the Poets & Painters will be exchanging their poems and paintings. The presentation will consist of participating writers reading their work, while the artists (for the most part, SCAA members), briefly describe the art they will exchange with the writers.

The goal of this collaboration is to create a painting and story directly inspired by this work, which will be exhibited during poetry month in April 2025 at the Rosberg Gallery, Niagara Falls.

The meeting is on November 26th at Trillium United Church, 415 Linwell Rd. St. Catharines, at 7:00 p.m. Guests are always welcome!

SCAA Group Exhibition @ Mahtay Café & Lounge

Dear SCAA Members,

We are pleased to announce the details of the upcoming SCAA Group Exhibition:

1. Exhibition Dates:
This juried exhibition will run from 1 December 2024 to 10 January 2025.

2. Registration:
The 16 SCAA members whose works were selected by Curator Bart Gazzola on 22 October, must formally register by submitting a payment of $20 to the SCAA Treasurer, Tamara Sutton, during the SCAA Member Meeting on 26 November.

3. Artwork Submission:
Selected members must deliver their ready to hang artworks and price tags (including the title, medium, dimensions, price, artist's name, and contact details) to Mahtay Café on 1 December, between 10 am and 12 noon.

4. Visual Conversations:
Depending on demand, Bart plans to host two 5x2 Visual Conversations about the exhibition on Tuesday, 10 December, and Tuesday, 17 December, from 5:30 pm to 7 pm. Participating artists interested in presenting should confirm with Bart during artwork submission on 1 December.

5. Artwork Removal:
All artworks must be collected from Mahtay Café on 11 January 2025, between 10 am and 12 noon.

6. Commission on Sales:
A 20% commission on all sales will be payable to the curator.

7. Exhibition Attendance:
All SCAA members and their guests are warmly invited to visit the exhibition, particularly during the two Visual Conversations.
