Our SCAA VP Chandi will be showing his new work, "ECLIPSE" (60x20 inches, Acrylic and Mixed Media, 2024), at the exhibition.
This painting was Inspired by the solar eclipse weexperienced in Southern Ontario on April 8, 2024, this abstract painting captures the contrast of emotions I witnessed: my excitement and my daughter's fear. The artwork reflects the interplay of darkness, light, fear, inspiration, and the eventual return of illumination. I completed Eclipse a few days after the event, aiming to translate this fleeting yet impactful experience into visual form.
As announced at the SCAA meeting on January 28th, all members of SCAA are invited to the Opening Reception on Thursday, February 6, 2025, 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Members sure of attending, should confirm with Chandi by e-mail: chandij@sympatico.ca on or before February 4th.
