Beginner Watercolour Workshop

BEGINNER WORKSHOP OVERVIEW:
Create your own winter-themed watercolour! This one-day class is for the beginner/novice with a need for clear and guided instruction on understanding brushes, paper and pigments as well as how to use them. You will practice mixing pigment, water ratios and learn about one of the most important things in creating a painting…value! Janice will work closely with students, guiding them through several exercises before creating their own whimsical winter watercolour.

Material list: Pigments as per colours listed below, brushes as listed below, water container, palette with wells for mixing, paper towels, masking tape.
Brushes: Brushes made for watercolour specifically in the following sizes: rigger, #6, small mop with pointy end or a #10
Pigment: Cerulean blue, Thalo Blue (or equivalent), Ultra Marine Blue, Paynes Grey, Burnt Sienna, Alizeron Crimson

*Instructor will bring 140 lb paper, support for paper. Please remember to bring lunch for the half hour break as there are no food services nearby.
