Dear SCAA Members,

Exciting news! The SCAA has signed a partnership agreement with the St. Catharines Public Library (SCPL). As the first step of this partnership, we will organize a six-week-long Spring Group Art Exhibition at SCPL (54 Church Street, St. Catharines). Please see the attached poster for details.

This exhibition will be promoted on social media by both SCPL and SCAA. SCPL will not be involved in sales and will not charge any commission. Any sales must be handled directly between the artist and the buyer via telephone.

Important Dates & Details

Main Exhibition – Second Floor Foyer, SCPL

Registration: Tuesday, February 25, 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM (during the SCAA General Member Meeting)
Artwork Handover: Saturday, April 19, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at SCPL, to Chandi, who will curate the exhibition with assistance from MABO. All submitted artwork must be properly wired for hanging.
Exhibition Duration: April 21 – May 30, 2025
Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Friday & Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Opening Reception: Thursday, April 24, 6:00 – 7:30 PM, organized by Nancy Haskell in the Mill Room (first floor of SCPL). All SCAA members are invited.
Artwork Removal: Saturday, May 31, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM (from Chandi at SCPL).

Artist Registration & Participation

A sign-up sheet will be available at the SCAA General Member Meeting on February 25. A maximum of 25 members will be featured in this exhibition (one painting per artist, and first-come, first-served).

Exclusive Atrium Display Window Opportunity

SCPL is also offering SCAA exclusive use of the locked Atrium Display Window for 10 large artworks from members between April 1 – May 30, 2025.

Additional sign-up sheet (first-come, first-served) will be available on February 25.
Artwork must not be for sale and should be either large paintings or large sculptures.
Atrium Display Handover: Monday, March 31, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at SCPL, to Chandi.
Artwork Removal: Saturday, May 31, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM (from Chandi at SCPL).
