Dear Fellow Members of SCAA,
The 12th Annual Niagara Poets & Painters Exhibition, featuring 30 paintings and 30 poems, is currently on view at the Niagara Falls Art Gallery until June 27. Don't miss it!
This year, we enjoyed record-breaking attendance - over 85 guests at the Opening Reception and SCAA 2026 Book Launch on April 2, and more than 40 participants at the Revealing Session on April 12.
We are now looking ahead to our 13th Annual Niagara Poets & Painters Collaboration in 2027, along with the accompanying full-colour SCAA 2027 book published by Amazon: Thirteenth Horizon. With 19 colleagues already registered, we are now 63% full. We are seeking 7 more painters and 4 more poets to complete the roster.

Please note that participation requires a full commitment to the following:
Initial Submission (due October 1, 2026):
• A Word document of participating Poet's poem (maximum one page, Arial 12 pt, up to 32 lines), or
• A JPEG image of participating Painter's painting (any size)
Orientation Session (mandatory):
SCAA Member Meeting (registration, $30 fee, presentations, and pairing)
Date: November 24, 2026
Time: 7:00–9:00 p.m.
Second Submission (due February 1, 2027):
• Participating Poet's second poem (same format as above), in response to partnering Painter's original painting or
• Participating Painter's second painting (any size), in response to partnering Poet's original poem
Exhibition Opening & Book Launch:
Niagara Falls Art Gallery
Date: April 1, 2027
Time: 6:00–8:00 p.m.
(Painters will need to deliver their work approximately 10 days in advance. Exact details will be confirmed in March 2027. The exhibition will run for three months.)
Revealing Event:
Niagara Falls Art Gallery
Date: April 11, 2027
Time: 12:00–3:00 p.m. (with a book sale & refreshment break in the middle)
