The 2026 St.Catharines Arts Awards

While we had high hopes of bringing home the 2026 Making A Difference Award, it was an honour for the St. Catharines Art Association to be nominated during our 75th Anniversary year.

For three-quarters of a century, SCAA has supported artists throughout St. Catharines and the Niagara Region through exhibitions, workshops, education, community outreach, and by helping establish what would become the renowned Rodman Hall art collection.

We were also proud to see two of our members, Adam Wiebe and Rajshree Jena, nominated in the Emerging Artist category—an achievement in itself and a reflection of the incredible talent within our Association.

Six SCAA members attended the City Arts Awards Reception at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre and enjoyed an evening celebrating the many individuals and organizations that enrich the cultural life of our community.

Congratulations to all award recipients and nominees. Being recognized alongside so many dedicated contributors to the arts was an honour.

As for us, we'll keep doing what we've been doing since 1951: creating art, supporting artists, and bringing a little more colour to Niagara. And who knows—perhaps our 80th Anniversary will be our lucky year!

Since 2005, the City Arts Awards have recognized artists, businesses, individuals, and organizations that have demonstrated excellence in artistic achievement and contributions to the arts in St. Catharines.
